The Gift Machine is funded by affiliate commissions. When you click a product link on this site and buy something, the merchant may pay us a small percentage of the sale. You pay exactly the same price either way.

This is the part we’d want to know, so we’ll say it plainly: commissions never decide what we recommend. Our picks are chosen first — by matching, taste, and argument — and monetized second. Plenty of products we recommend earn us nothing at all. They stay, because the recommendation is the product.

Links that may earn us a commission are marked with rel="sponsored" in the page code, per FTC and search-engine guidance, and every results page and gift guide carries a disclosure like this one.

We participate in affiliate programs operated by individual merchants and by networks such as Sovrn Commerce, and as our catalog grows, programs including Awin, Rakuten, AvantLink, CJ, and Impact. If a program ever required us to favor its products, we would leave the program.
