The short version

We’re an old-fashioned website with exactly one modern trick: a glimpse into your gift-giving future. No cookies. No ad trackers. No account, no profile, no idea who you are — we couldn’t pick you out of a crowd if we tried, and we’d rather not try.

Your answers exist to find a gift, not to find you. The details, for the curious, are below.

What we collect

Quiz answers. Who the gift is for, the occasion, budget, interests, and anything you type in the open text box. We use these for one thing: generating your recommendations. Don’t include information that could identify the recipient — first names are plenty.

Click data. When you click “See it” on a recommendation, we log which product was clicked and when. This tells us which recommendations are working.

Contact form. If you write to us, we receive what you send: your name, email, and message.

Anonymous counting. We count, cookielessly, how the site is used — which quiz step loses people, which pages get read. The counting carries no names, no accounts, nothing stored on your device, and no way back to you.

How recommendations work

Your quiz answers are processed by Anthropic’s Claude AI to rank gifts from our catalog and write the explanation lines. Answers are sent to Anthropic’s API for that purpose, subject to Anthropic’s privacy policy. We don’t use your answers to build advertising profiles, and we don’t sell them to anyone.

Affiliate links

Product links on this site are affiliate links. When you buy through them, the store pays us a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate networks may set cookies on the store’s site to attribute the sale — that attribution happens under the store’s and network’s own policies. Our recommendations are ranked before commission is considered; what pays us more never ranks higher because of it.

What we don’t do

No cookies on our site. No selling of personal data. No advertising trackers. No requirement to create an account. No marketing emails unless you explicitly ask for them.
